Question of the Week
How does tattooing and/or body modification allow you to Be The Ritual?
Every one of my tattoos represents an outward expression of my inner spiritual self. The ritual of tattooing itself is a spiritual act for me as it often forces me to sit with pain while reflecting on the parts of my life that have lead me to this commitment to display the given art piece on my body.
Likewise, body modification is a conscious act of facing pain through adornment. This ritual also allows me to challenge myself to do what can seem impossible to the brain, but when I allow myself to surrender to the act, I discover that I am capable of so much more than I ever imagined.
